The following technology showpiece, TechQuest Final Paper, demonstrates the ability to use technology to tackle a pedagogical problem. I investigated and implemented the dynamic applet GeoGebra into my Trigonometry classroom. This product details the educational problem addressed and the subsequent use of GeoGebra to address it. It is imperative that an educator uses technology only when it presents itself as the best mode of delivering content.

WebQuest: I created a WebQuest concerning the adoption of an Electric Car. The assignment reads as follows: You have been called by the President to be part of a team investigating the possible mass production of plug-in electric cars. He wants to know to if the mass production of electric cars provide a viable solution for consumers, environmentalists, and for the businesses involved. He needs to be informed of the level, if any, of mass production that your group recommends. Your input could help change the future of the auto industry.
This assignment shows how I use technology to address problems of practice. |
In addition, I created a Stand Alone Instructional Resource using Microsoft PowerPoint. A student is able to navigate the resource non-linearly to explore concepts and then take related quizzes. If a student answers correctly, they move on. If they enter an incorrect response, then the resource navigates them to additional resources. The file size of the PowerPoint STAIR is too large; however, I will attempt to send you the file by other means if you are interested. I attached the STAIR plan to help you understand the finished project.
