Providing professional development is a major component of my current position; the main focus being educational technology. I lead professional development training sessions at districts, at the Genesee Intermediate School District, and at conferences throughout the state of Michigan each year. My presentations at miGoogle 2016 and the 2016 Midwest Illuminate User Conference were my most recent statewide presentations, and I am scheduled to present again at the 2017 MACUL conference.
I provide support in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings. District representatives request me for specific support, and I spend a large deal of my time working with educators at their buildings. As an example of the support I provide, this past spring I co-wrote a Targeted Site Transformation grant application that was awarded to create a 1:1 environment at Kuehn-Haven Middle School in Genesee County. I used SAMR survey data to create an individualized instructional technology implementation plan to set goals for the building and to support the teachers integrate technology. This plan was referenced in the Fall 2016 MACUL Journal. This framework has been successful locally and has been shared to other instructional technologists across the state by request. If you are interested in seeing the options that I provided, then please feel free to view the TST 1:1 Individualized Implementation Plan. |
